Another sunny day

Georgie's best years have long passed by
His hair so white, his eyes so pale
His legs so thin, his wife so cold
He sees his grandchildren once a year.
He's forgetting more and more 'bout who he once was
About his aims, his life, his dreams.
But today a sunbeam hits his mind,
And inside of him something starts to sing:

"It's another sunny day, what more can I say?
Good morning world, good morning people,
Let's start the day anew.
It's a lucky day and we're all on our way
What's coming soon? What's happening next?
No one ever knew."

Betsy once was the hottest girl in town.
Her lips so red, her eyes so dark,
Her lovers: numerous as the stars.
Every single wish fulfilled.
Today her mates got her favourite bottle of booze
Put a whole half bottle onto her sleeping bag
Birthday party under the bridge.
The sun lights up and ol' Betsy starts to sing:
„It’s another sunny day...“

Mr. Briggs went home, took of his clothes,
Run the bath, aligned some razorblades,
On the greyish towel, she used to love,
Before she passed away
He glanced his home, moisture in his eyes
Sees the suitcase with that paperwork,
No one needs anymore. "What a waste", he thinks,
And then he hears his feeble voice say:
(Deep inside his tired head)

"It's another sunny day. What more can I say?
Good night dear world, Good night dear people,
It’s time for me to go home.
It's a lucky day. And we're all on our way
What's coming soon? What's happening next?
No one will ever know."
